Situated in the charming Yorkshire village of Hardraw, beneath the rising fells of Great Shunner Fell, just outside of the town of Hawes, The Green Dragon Inn stands in a stunning location overlooking Upper Wensleydale.

This ancient traditional Dales Inn with flagged floors, open fires, beamed ceilings, stone walls is a privately owned free house.

The Inn has been lovingly restored ensuring it maintained it's original features incorporating some contemporary fittings.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar.
Well-appointed comfortable accommodation, a camp site, quality home cooked food, well kept real ales from Theakstons and local micro breweries together with a selection of wines and Malts are on offer in our unique Inn.

The Green Dragon Inn is centrally located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is ideal for touring, cycling or walking, being directly on one of the most popular of all the walks - The Pennine Way.

The Hardraw Scaur Waterfall. England's highest single drop water fall.

The Inn's extensive 15 acre grounds continue along Hardraw Beck taking in the spectacular narrow gorge of Hardraw Scaur.  Around this pleasant paths wind through ancient woodland, crossing the Beck over oak footbridges.  At the head of the gorge the impressive Hardraw Force, best seen after heavy rain, drops 100 feet from an overhanging ledge.

Opening times...
The Waterfall is open daily from 8am until dusk in the summer. Please call for opening times during the winter months. It is priced at £2.50 per adult and £1.50 per child. Under 5's free.
Group ticket for 2 adults and 2 children £7.50 Well controlled dogs are welcome. The path is level and graveled, and suitable for a wheelchair with care.
